[FLASH-USERS] non rectangular domain definition & integrated quantities in yt

Hello,

I have a question regarding a non rectangular domain definition in FLASH
4 with using the method described in
source/Simulation/SimulationMain/WindTunnel/Simulation_defineDomain.F90

It seems that when this way of defining the simulation domain is used in
2D cylindrical coordinates, the total integrated quantities (such as
simulation volume, total mass) computed by yt 3.0 are not correct, while
they are correct for a regular 2D cyl. simulation with a rectangular 2D
domain. The related post on the yt mailing list can be found bellow:
http://lists.spacepope.org/htdig.cgi/yt-users-spacepope.org/2013-June/003704.html

 (a) Is it correct to assume that the masked blocks are not present in
the output hdf5 file? (as Simulation_defineDomain.F90 says that the
masked blocks are removed from PARAMESH)
 (b) Are there any differences in the output hdf5 files with this domain
definition that might explain the incorrect yt output?

Thank you,
Best,
