Hello everyone,

I plan to simulate the interaction between the plasma and water using FLASH code to support my experiment results. First of all, I try to simulate the propagation of shock waves in water to study the FLASH code. However, I find that the Hydro Unit in FLASH is mainly based on the gas and there is no EOS of water in FLASH code. So, I’m confused

1. Is FLASH code suitable for the simulation of hydrodynamic problems in water? I think there is no problem but I’m not sure about it.

2. Can I just modify the EOS routine supplied by the FLASH (e.g. Gamma) to create a EOS for water? I have read the user guide but don’t find anything about this. Has anybody ever met the similar problem or created new EOS routine before?

Any information maybe useful.

Best Regards,
