Chapter 3 of the user guide (<i>Setting up new problems) </i>is quite detailed, but it may be easy to miss the big picture. In my experience, the simplest way to learn how to make a new simulation is to base it off of one of the included example simulations,
which are located in .../source/Simulation/<wbr>SimulationMain.<br>
<br>
My advice is to do two things in parallel: <b>1) </b>Read through Chapter 3, and <b>
2) </b>Read through the corresponding simulation files of an example related to what you're trying to create. Also,
<b>3) </b>Have a Fortran90 reference handy.<br>
<br>
Let's say I want to create a laser-plasma simulation, but I don't know how to start. In this case, I'll look at a related example, the "LaserSlab" simulation (examine the files under .../SimulationMain/LaserSlab). By the time I finish reading Ch. 3, all the
while investigating the files of "LaserSlab", I will have the knowledge to make a completely new simulation.<br>

As an example, here's how you could make a modified version of the "LaserSlab" simulation. Copy the .../SimulationMain/LaserSlab directory and its contents into a new subfolder:<br>
(e.g. .../SimulationMain/ScottSlab)<br>

<div>When you're done editing the files, you can build it just like any of the examples, with:<br>

<div>./setup -auto ScottSlab [options]<br>
