Florin, H5Pset_fapl_mpio is only present in the parallel build of the HDF5
library.  You should either use hdf5_serial as your I/O module, or
download/compile a parallel build of the HDF5 library.  If you have a
parallel version of the library, nm should show that function in the
library.
