Hi Ludmila,
I'm rather new to FLASH as well, but here's an idea. Try opening visit
without the "assume-flash", and see if it works:
1) Open VisIt (Run /home/ludmila/visit/visit2.10.0/src/bin/./visit) but do
not add the "assume FLASH" part
2) Go to File -> Open
3) In the lower section of the open file dialog, there is a dropdown menu
"Open file as type". It defaults to "Guess from file name/extension".
Select FLASH from that dropdown menu, *then *open the file.
If that doesn't work, let us know!
