[FLASH-USERS] ask for some help

Ludmila,

Hmm. Well, here's some info for troubleshooting. After I ran the
build_visit2_10_0 script (took ~3 hrs on my machine), I got the following
message:

…

All indications are that VisIt successfully built.

Finished building VisIt.

You many now try to run VisIt by cd'ing into the

visit2.10.0/src/bin directory and invoking "visit"

To create a binary distribution tarball from this build, cd to

/home/feister.7/pypkg/visit-par/visit2.10.0/src

then enter: "make package"

This will produce a tarball called visitVERSION.ARCH.tar.gz, where

VERSION is the version number, and ARCH is the OS architecure.

To install the above tarball in a directory called "INSTALL_DIR_PATH"

enter: svn_bin/visit-install VERSION ARCH INSTALL_DIR_PATH

If you run into problems, contact visit-users at ornl.gov.

Did you remember if you got this "VisIt successfully built" message? After
the script finished, VisIt worked without doing *anything *further. I did
not need to run "make all"; maybe even running "make all" is deleting
something important?
