The 'cornerID' value of a block, in the sense of Grid_getBlkCornerID(), 
is simply a function of 
 * cell (or block) location in physical space,
 * (left) domain boundaries,
 * cell box size (at fines level).

Since all those are available in a checkpoint or plot file, there is no 
need to store the derived cornerID.
