What is the compilation command that fails?

Does your Flash.h mention one of the following symbols, and if yes, how?

  HAVE_HDF5_FORTRAN
  FLASH_HAVE_HDF5_MOD
  IO_USE_HDF5_MOD

Which HDF5 version are you using with FLASH?

Does the HDF5 installation on your system include the Fortran interface?
