Dear flash users,
I have a problem and I could not find a way to fix it.
I am doing a simulation based on the Laser slab exemple but this time,
I use a target composed of 3 different layers of materials. The first layer
is Polystyrene. The second is Aluminium. For the last layer, I model a
layer of Silice and I use my own EoS tables to perform the simulation.
The problem comes when I use the EoS of the Silice.
When I use the EoS for Silice, there are some bug at some point with the
error message :
*** Wrote checkpoint file to lasslab_hdf5_chk_0016 ****

This message comes from the file eos_tabIonmix.F90 when the derivative of
internal energy by temperature det = 0
It seems that the temperature drops to 1K (Te = 1.0000000000000000 ) and
at low temperatures det is equal to zero for Silice.
This is strange because when I plot the electron temperature I can see that
the temperature drops at the interfaces of the different material but It
does not
drop below 80K (see figure attached tele.png)
When I do the simulation again but with an initial temperature of 1eV for
the target
(and not 290 K as I should do) the simulation runs well.
Does anyone have any suggestions to fix this ?
Thank you for the help,
Best regards,
Antoine
