Dear Flash developers and users,
I am working on the simulation of laser-induced ablation of Al target using mtmmmt EOS provided by FLASH.
According to documents, the minimum ionization level ms_targZmin in LaserSlab must be set to the value larger than value corresponds to critical density. In the example.par file, the ms_targZmin is set to 0.02, which corresponds to around critical density of 1053nm (1.205e+21 1/cc) in .par file.
However, the initial electron density of the target is generally set to free electron density (order of 1e+23 1/cc) in the other hydrodynamics simulations such as HYDRA or HELIOS.
Do I have to set ms_targZmin as corresponding value of free electron density of Al when using mtmmmt?
Is the value of ms_targZmin provided by example.par physically not correct?
Regards,
Hyungyu Yu
