Hello dear FLASH users,
I am using the 3T implementation in a variation of the ZPinch default, where the plasma is magnetized.
For magnetizing the plasma, what I do, is to let the plasma be a solid body for the first 400ns of my simulation, with a constant high resistivity to let the magnetic field diffuses through the plasma, then, when setting the plasma to fluid, I change the resistivity to a much lower constant value.
Is this valid? I am worried about the 3T implementation, which according to the users' guide has been made for unmagnetized plasmas, so I'm not sure about my approach. Still, results are quite similar to both experiments and theory.
Thank you very much, really appreciatte any help.
Alvaro 🙂
