[FLASH-USERS] How to extract data from HDF5 output and plot linear profiles

HI all,

I would like to extract the data from the HDF5 file outputs, in order to be able to plot them with matplotlib in python.
For example, I would like to be able to get linear profiles for physical quantities (density, temperature...) along specific directions and lines from 2D simulation data in cylindrical geometry.
I tried to use yt for this purpose, but it seems that plotting linear profiles from 2D cylindrical data is not implemented yet.

Any advices?
