[FLASH-USERS] Converting sesame opacities to ionmix4

Dear flash users,
I’m trying to run a simulation similar to the z-pinch setup, so I’m modifying that one. I want different species than the ones used there. Regarding eos I think I’m fine with the Helmholtz eos unit, but for opacities I would like to use tabulated values that I obtained from the TOPS website.
Now, since flash uses its own format for such data, I need to convert the data into that format. I’ve seen in old emails on this thread that opacplot2, found here https://github.com/flash-center/opacplot2, has been suggested for this purpose.
Sadly, I’ve not been able to install this tool. The reason being software compatibility issues. The github page says it needs python 2.7 or 3.5, both of which are no longer supported (see https://devguide.python.org/versions/ ).
Is there a different tool available for this purpose?
Best,
Markus
