Hi Adam,
The simulation is continuing on with the "error". I wrote 'call Grid_getBlkPtr(blockId,solnData)', 'call RadTrans_mgdEFromT(blockId, axis, trad, tradActual)' and 'solnData(TRAD_VAR,i,j,k)=tradActual' in Simulation_initBlock.F90. And I set the value of trad in the flash.par. It's strange that the hypre solver takes no iteration.

Is the simulation aborting or continuing on? 


This “error” is coming from the MGD solver and I see that the hypre solver is not taking any iterations and that it is happening for every energy group. Are you initializing the radiation temperature? Sometimes this can happen when there is little to nothing to happen during the mgd solve and the solution carries on normally.
