1)
To change the geometry in FLASH you can set the geometry runtime parameter
from the default of cartesian to cylindrical, polar, spherical, etc. You
should also compile with the corresponding setup shortcut (e.g., +polar).
You may need to modify additional routines that assume cartesian geometry
for your problem.
2)
I more of suspect you actually would be happy to run in cartesian geometry;
you just want your domain to have a different shape. In that case, you
should look into using BDRY_VAR. More info is likely in the user guide, or
you can grep for a problem that uses BDRY_VAR to see an example.
