[FLASH-USERS] Help with Running 2D Laser Produced Plasma Simulation in FLASH4.8 on Ubuntu

Dear FLASH Users,

I am a new user of FLASH and currently trying to run a 2D laser produced plasma simulation using FLASH4.8 on Ubuntu.

I used the following command to set up the simulation:




./setup LaserSlab -2d -auto +laser -objdir=NdYAGPlasmaSim 

Then I navigated to the build directory and run:




cd NdYAGPlasmaSim 

make 

However, sometimes I encounter the following error during compilation:

f951: Fatal Error: Reading module ‘iso_c_binding.mod’ at line 1 column 1: Unexpected EOF 

After trying to resolve this error and rebuilding with make again, I then face a different error:




Mpi_implicitNone.fh:14: Error: Can't open included file 'mpif.h'

I am not sure how to fix these errors and would appreciate any guidance or suggestions you could provide to help me successfully compile and run this simulation.
