[FLASH-USERS] Request for guidance on laser ray tracing for laser-foil simulations in FLASH

Dear FLASH Support Team,

I’m working with an intern (Blake Curlee) who is running FLASH simulations to model laser-foil target interactions, and we’ve encountered challenges related to nonuniform energy deposition with the ray tracing package.

Would you be able to point us toward relevant documentation, examples, or tutorials on setting up ray tracing for laser energy deposition? Any guidance on best practices or typical pitfalls would be greatly appreciated.
