Hi Hansen,
Thanks for your reply. We never do modification in this module.
Based on what you’ve said, the error should not occur in normal cases. So I guess the trouble is about the version of gcc, gfortran or the hypre.
We use gcc and gfortran both v12.2.0 and hypre-2.32.0. Would there be any problems with these choices?
Best regards,
Zeng Bo

Zeng Bo,
It’s difficult to tell why the code is giving this error without knowing more about your setup. Also, the line that it’s pointing to in gr_uhypreSetupGrid.F90 is blank in FLASH4.8, so maybe you have modified that routine.
In any case, we are continuously improving the code, and it’s possible that this error will not appear in future release versions since we have also been making updates to the hypre solver.

Subject: [FLASH-USERS] Trouble about implicit magnetic resistivity in FLASH4.8
Dear FLASH-users,
I have some trouble while using the latest implicit magnetic resistivity module in FLASH4.8.
The implicit magnetic resistivity works well in 2D cartesian coordinate. But once I modify the same simulation to 3D, the error message has printed as the pic shown in the attachment. Invalid memory reference.
Can you give me some advices about why this happened and how can I modify the case? Thank you for your attention!
Best regards,
Zeng Bo
