Hi Sylvain —

We have a paper on merging white dwarfs and used a corotating frame for protoplantary disk simulations.

Hope this helps -

Tomek

Subject: [FLASH-USERS] co-rotating frames

Hello everyone,

I was looking around to see if anyone used flash with a co-rotating frame and google AI hallucinated the following lines to include in a flash.par file:

# Example parameter settings for a rotating binary system
useGravity          = .true.
useRotationalFrame = .true. # Activates the rotating frame source modules

# Define the constant angular velocity vector (e.g., rotation around Z-axis)
omega_x             = 0.0
omega_y             = 0.0
omega_z             = 1.25e-3      # Rad/sec based on the system's orbital period

# Center of rotation (usually the center of mass of the grid/system)
xCenterRotation     = 0.0
yCenterRotation     = 0.0
zCenterRotation     = 0.0

I have not found anything related to these in the documentation. Is google AI anywhere close to something that actually exists?

Best,
Sylvain
