Dear Anshu,

Thank you for your email, for your hard work and prompt action items.

Why would you bound yourself by 2007 year?

Myself I was not developing or using the FLASH code (my research tool is
theoretical analysis) but many other people did. In a sense, the code
itself is a ~15 years cumulative community effort.

If you would have a complete data base (including FLASH affiliates from
the very beginning), you would have an opportunity to statistically
analyze this information and mine the data in the way your sponsors want.

For instance, you may track people's affiliation and career development,
analyze their discoveries, compare the usage of FLASH with the other
codes, study how the code improvement was influencing various research
areas, etc.

For long-lasting projects, such a data base would be a great vehicle, and
it would be supported by your colleagues.

Best regards,

Snezhana
