Hello, Flash users and developers,

I am a new user trying to simulate laser-shock conditions on micron-thick
metal foils.
To check whether our system works fine, we installed the required modules
(HDF5/1.13.2, HYPRE, and MPICH/4.0.2) in HPC and ran the example given in
section 34.7.5.

We noticed that beyond lasslab_hdf5_plt_cnt_109 till 200, there are no
required laser ray values while we extract the vtk file using
extract_rays.py and that we get the following error-

File "/FLASH4.6.2/tools/scripts/extract_rays.py", line 159, in <module>
    write_vtk(fn)
  File "/FLASH4.6.2/tools/scripts/extract_rays.py", line 81, in write_vtk
    tag = sorted_data[0,0]
IndexError: index 0 is out of bounds for axis 0 with size 0

There were required output values till file 109- [[3.20000000e+01

which became zero for the next plot_file onwards til 200. It occurred even
when running the program multiple times.

Is it because of the HDF5 module or other code errors?
I would appreciate any input on the matter.

Thanks and Regards,
Roshan
