Dear all

I am running simulations for the LaserSlab configuration.
I noticed that after a short period of time, the SUMY variable throughout the gas chamber acquires the same value as that of the solid target.
It happens even if I change the gas chamber or the solid target materials.

According to the documentation, SUMY = 1/Ā, with Ā the average atomic mass of the cell. Is that correct?
If so, why does the gas chamber SUMY become equal to the solid target SUMY?

If the average atomic mass of the gas chamber becomes equal to the average atomic mass of the solid target, will this affect the value of the other variables, such as density, pressure, temperature, ye = Z̄/Ā, etc.?

Thank you for your attention!

Best regards,
M. C. de Sousa
