SYNOPSIS

  call Pipeline_finalize ()

DESCRIPTION

  Finalizes the Pipeline unit. It deactivates and destroys any pipeline
  that is currently in use. The deactivation is done in a synchronous way
  to allow all processors to finalize the Pipeline unit at the same time.
