[FLASH-USERS] Flash Installation on Mountain Lion

Hello,

After a fair amount of work with Mac Ports I got the current mpich and
hdf5 libraries installed, but pointers and permissions remain a problem.

First, I placed /FLASH... in my home directory space and started the
Sedov build. That ended with a claim of SUCCESS, but the make fails
early on ...

    Using Makefile.h:
    /Users/ret/FLASH4.2.2/sites/Prototypes/Darwin/Makefile.h
    generating Makefile
    SUCCESS
    [19:38:~/FLASH4.2.2] ret>cd object
    [19:39:~/FLASH4.2.2/object] ret>make
    Calculating dependencies
    ./setup_depends.py --generateINTERMEDIATElines -ggdb -c -O2
    -fdefault-real-8 -fdefault-double-8 -Wuninitialized -I
    /opt/local/var/macports/software/hdf5/1.8.7/opt/local/include
    -DH5_USE_16_API -ggdb -c -O2 -Wuninitialized -D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 *.f
    *.f90 *.F90 *.F
    ./setup_addcdepends.py -I
    /opt/local/var/macports/software/hdf5/1.8.7/opt/local/include
    -DH5_USE_16_API -ggdb -c -O2 -Wuninitialized -D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 *.c
    rm -f reorder.sh
    /opt/local/lib/mpich-mp -ggdb -c -O2 -fdefault-real-8
    -fdefault-double-8 -Wuninitialized -DMAXBLOCKS=1000 -DNXB=8 -DNYB=8
    -DNZB=1 -DN_DIM=2 Burn_interface.F90
    make: /opt/local/lib/mpich-mp: Permission denied

with the hdf5 and mpich paths apparently intelligible to the script, but
some odd permission error killing it.

I'm not sure whether the build would require write permissions or not,
but as my normal "admin" user, I can certainly read the contents of any
part of the "/opt/local/..." pathways.

What might be wrong here? What guidance on correct permissions can any of
you provide, please?

Thanks,
Bob Terry
